AOC, one of the wildest, woke, pro-abortion people in DC tried to make the argument that corporations are on the side of pro-lifers because they just want a bigger workforce that is "conscripted" into servitude.
According to AOC, they want women to be baby factories and create more workers.
Abortion is an economic issue. Forcing poor and working class people to give birth against their will, against their consent, against their ability to provide for themselves or a child...
Okay, real quick, consent to sex (especially unprotected) is consent to pregnancy. Get over it, lefties.
Anyways, let's get back to AOC.
It's certainly a way to keep a workforce conscripted, basically, to a large scale employers and employers to work more against their will. To take second and third jobs against their own desire and against their own autonomy.
And so the idea that abortion and access to abortion is not somehow a profound and central economic and class issue and class struggle is certainly something that I think a person who's never had to contend with the ability to carry a child, you know, it belies that perspective.
Having children keeps people tied to their jobs.
That's AOC's argument.
AOC is, of course, wrong here. That's a given. But it's how many ways she's wrong and how evil her perspective truly is that's shocking.
Here's Jesse Kelly with the flamethrower:
Here Allie Beth Stuckey and Wokal Distance make, essentially, the same point about AOC's warped perspective.
You want examples, AOC? Here's an incomplete list of major national companies who are paying for their female employees to kill their babies to keep them tied to the workforce courtesy of CBS News:
- Amazon, Bank of America, Bumble, Buzzfeed, Cigna, Citigroup, CNN, Comcast, CVS, Dick's Sporting Goods, Estee Lauder, Goldman Sachs, HP, Ikea, JPMorgan Chase, Kroger, New York Times, Lyft, MasterCard, Meta, Microsoft, Paramount, Patagonia, PayPal, Procter & Gamble, Salesforce, Starbucks, Target, Tesla, Uber, Disney, Yelp, Yahoo, and Zillow.
Every single one of these "evil" corporations who are just greedy and capitalistic AGREES with AOC.
Pure greedy capitalism is on the side of the socialist, AOC.
She's SO wrong on this that it's laughable.
I'll leave the last word to Auron MacIntyre, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite political thinkers, who had this to say about AOC's cognitive dissonance:
