Are you starting to understand why Trump called it a bloodbath? Look at this madman's new EPA rule.

This would absolutely gut the American auto industry from stem to stern. Complete K.O.

Think about that for a sec.

Ford lost billions in 2023 on EVs. In fact, all the big American automakers are pulling back on EVs because people don't want them.

A few of our headlines from the last year:

Now to Biden's harebrained plan to find new ways to destroy America:

The Biden administration on Wednesday finalized stringent new tailpipe emission rules that will force automakers to toss most of their gas-powered models to the curb by 2030 and sell primarily electric vehicles.

THAT'S LESS THAN 6 YEARS!!

The unprecedented move from the Environmental Protection Agency is part of President Biden's climate change agenda meant to overhaul the U.S. auto industry and Americans' travel habits, but it's expected to face legal challenges.

"With transportation as the largest source of U.S. climate emissions, these strongest-ever pollution standards for cars solidify America's leadership in building a clean transportation future and creating good-paying American jobs, all while advancing President Biden's historic climate agenda," said EPA Administrator Michael Regan.

Spoken like a true Swamp Thing.

The new fleetwide standards will start with vehicle model year 2027 and phase in gradually until fully implemented with model year 2032, by which time new vehicle sales will need to be roughly two-thirds electric. By severely regulating the amount of emissions an automaker's fleet can produce, a majority of EVs will need to be sold to comply.

Everyone working in the auto industry right now:

EVs are cool. The Cybertruck is dope. I don't think they save the environment, especially not over Toyota's plan to make hybrids, but they are fun toys with some unique advantages for some consumers.

But here's the thing:

There's lackluster demand and serious price issues.

Biden is trying to drive a square peg in a round hole, creating supply where there is no demand. No one wants this outside the one-percenters and their climate-cult friends.

If EVs were to be the only cars available in the future, my family couldn't afford the big names. Ford? Nope. Chevy? Nope. Dodge? Not even if it had a Hemi. Kia? Still too expensive these days.

I'd have to turn to a cheaper source:

Are you starting to understand what Trump was saying when he was talking about Chinese investment in car factories in Mexico? Are you starting to understand why Biden and friends lied about what he was saying?

Biden will force impossible demands to push products that no one wants and an entire industry will go under, costing hundreds of thousands of American jobs, then China will swoop in and do what it's done to every other American manufacturer over the last 30 years.

Bloodbath indeed.

And yet the leadership in American automakers, in spite of their employees who will be jobless in a decade because families won't buy their government-mandated products, are still celebrating it.

The Alliance for Automotive Innovation, representing major automakers, hailed the changes and the final regulation but still described the administration's targets as "a stretch goal."

Make it make sense.
