The owners of a Dairy Queen in Phoenix, Arizona, are appealing to whoever stole the giant red spoon to please return it, no questions asked.
The giant red spoon is 15-foot tall and was made to look like one of Dairy Queen's iconic red spoons. You know the ones.
When asked about the spoon Puja Kalra. who owns the store with her husband Raman Kalra, said,
We were kind of upset but then more puzzled. What are they going to do with a spoon?
In reviewing the surveillance video, Raman Kalra was even more perplexed:
They were so precise about it like they had done it before. They just wiggled their way through and made sure the spoon was not damaged.
Then the suspects took off with the spoon on a "small motorbike."
Just one?
Honestly, I'm having trouble imagining the logistics of the spoon heist.
Imagine a couple of people driving around on a motorbike, balancing a giant 15-foot red spoon. The physical acuity necessary to perform the act is as mind boggling as stealing the spoon in the first place.
Though they really would like the spoon returned, the couple is taking the theft in stride and with a little humor.
"I appeal to the person. This spoon is too big to eat anything," Raman Kalra said. "We want you to bring it back. We will not ask any questions."
They've printed flyers and fitted all their employees with new T-shirts that read, "Where's my spoon?"
They're offering a reward for the return of the spoon: One blizzard from every flavor of the summer menu.
