A regular customer at RWT Collective in West Los Angeles was robbed at gunpoint in the store's underground parking lot for $300,000 in Pokémon cards over the weekend. The thieves are still on the loose.

Good ol' Los Angeles, am I right?

As you may have seen above, two men entered RWT seemingly scoping out the place for big spenders. And when the unnamed regular, who happened to have $300,000 in rare Pokémon cards on him left the store, he was robbed of the collection at gunpoint.

It gets worse. Let's take a 40-minute drive up to Simi Valley.

That was on the same exact day as the RWT robbery. Police are not sure if the crimes are connected.

Thieves have caught onto the fact that Pokémon cards are gaining value by the day and now they're ripping off card stores in the same way as they do jewelry stores.

Do the math on these robberies and we've got more than half a mil in stolen Pokémon cards in the Los Angeles area alone.

The world we live in, man.
