Australia is now investigating a police officer who dared claim there are only two genders

Yes, it's true that Australia spent the last two years descending non-stop into a complete and total comprehensive police state, but hey, don't worry: At least they're sticking with it!

Sergeant Bruno Staffieri is already in hot water over his alleged criticism of Victoria Police's campaign to promote workplace equality for LGBTQI members, but is now the subject of a fresh investigation by the force's internal watchdog...

The 62-year-old Staffieri was interviewed by officers from Professional Standards Command on April 26 over a post he made to senior project officer Bonnie Loft, who works with Gender Equality and Inclusion Command.

"So you are doing tertiary education studying genders. I'll make it easy for you to pass....there are 2," Staffieri said in a post from November last year.

Pointing out one of the immutable scientific facts of human existence is apparently enough to bring about an internal police inquiry in Australia now.

(Although technically we should point out there are 2 sexes and gender is just a made-up concept.)

What exactly is happening to that country?

Note that Staffieri—who is a publicly professed Christian—has drawn the ire of none other than the Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner Neil Paterson:

"I don't respect or value your views as they are offensive and there is no place for those views in Victoria Police.... Either limit your comments on Yammer to comments that are respectful of everyone or consider your employment options," Paterson posted.

To which we might reply to Paterson (and indeed the country's entire government at this point):

Yeah something tells me I won't be heading to Australia for vacation anytime soon.
