Australian bikini brand uses male model to promote women's swimwear because of course
· Jan 22, 2024 · NottheBee.com

So much progress going on in the world today. Take this Australian bikini company: They're using a male model to promote a new women's swimsuit on Instagram.

So stunning!

So brave!

Like, why is this a thing?!?!

A $130 swimsuit on a dude? Who's gonna buy that?!

Serious question: Are there dudes who actually wear these swimsuits to the swim-up bar?

Or is Moana Bikini just doing this for attention and throwing this grossness up on Instagram for a bit of "inclusion"?

It's like a gay marketing scheme or something and I can't take it seriously because it's just fake. I guess all publicity is good publicity, but this is just odd and it weirds me out.

And boy does it hurt the eyes!

Some words from a Moana Bikini spokesperson:

We find it quite absurd that people would cherry-pick this one, individual post from our 12 years of business to make a wild statement about us not being empowering to women. Moana Bikini are - and have always been - one of the most inclusive and empowering brands in existence. This is not only in terms of our size and style range for women but - most importantly - in our love and acceptance of all races, ethnicities, body shapes and sizes, genders and sexual orientations. This hasn't changed and never will change.

This swimwear company usually focuses on "body positivity," and even though I'm not a fan of that cuz it's just a buzzword to excuse being unhealthy, I'd say Moana Bikini needs to stay in their lane and stop with the gender-bending. It's just creepy.

Do us all a favor, ladies, and never purchase any of Moana Bikini's products.

Then, hopefully, we won't have to see anything like this ever again.
