Australian daycare chain says parents need to ask their toddler’s permission before changing their dirty diapers

Do these insane people have kids of their own?

Yep, a daycare chain in Australia that runs 75 (!) centers is telling people that they need to ask permission before changing their kid's diaper.

An Australian childcare chain has suggested parents should ask permission before changing their toddlers' nappies to ensure "respectful" changes.

The advice was issued by Only About Children, which runs more than 75 early learning centres across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

It encourages parents to put themselves in their child's shoes and ask, "If you were a baby, how would you like to have your nappy changed?"

Answer: Babies are content to wallow in their own filth all day long.

At least when the deadly skin infections start setting in, woke parents can say they respected their child's wishes as an excuse for their spineless antics!

Not only that, but the chain says parents shouldn't interrupt the kid's playtime to change them and that they should let the kids stand for a change if they want to:

"When toddlers become mobile, nappy changing may look quite different!" the advice says.

"Continue to ask for cooperation but understand that your toddler may wish to now stand for their nappy change.

"Also encourage their independence, you may ask him to take off his own nappy or wipe himself.

"Wait for a gap in their playing before starting the nappy changing process.

"You may wish to give your toddler some autonomy and ask ‘Would you like to walk to the change table or should I carry you?'"

Has no one at this daycare chain ever seen a blow-out of DEFCON proportions? When there's hazardous material leaking from my child, I don't ask if she wants to walk to the changing table and I certainly don't change her standing.

It's a containment operation at that point, and my house is not a democracy.

This is Step 1 in the manual of "How To Quickly Destroy A Civilization By Making Parents Into Weenies and Children Into Brats."

I can't wait for Part 2 of this stunning advice series, where we'll be told to ask for consent before stopping our kids from putting forks in power outlets!
