Baltimore coach John Harbaugh opens postgame press conference reading from the Bible and giving glory to God after Ravens' playoff victory

Yesterday, the Baltimore Ravens completely dominated the Houston Texans to move on to the AFC Championship game.

After the game, Ravens coach John Harbaugh opened his press conference by reading from the Bible before giving any other statement:

I just want to start off with this ... I think it's the right thing to do. It's a verse.

"Greatness, power, glory, victory, and honor belong to You. Because everything in heaven and on earth belongs to You. The kingdom belongs to You, Lord. You are the head and the Ruler over everything."

That's from the Old Testament, 1 Chronicles 29:11.

Harbaugh said that the verse was shared with him before the game, and you have to wonder if it came from the pregame visit from his brother and NCAA champion coach, Jim Harbaugh, who made the quick trip to Baltimore to see his brother after showing up at the March for Life in DC on Friday.

Really, how many NFL coaches are going to open their press conference not with some generic "We give God the glory" statement, but a reading from Chronicles?

Regardless of who shared the verse with John Harbaugh, the coach did the bold thing and read it so that the watching world would hear that God is the Ruler over everything!

The Harbaugh family seems to have raised 'em right.
