Timothy Snipe of Mount Pleasant, SC, had just taken his dog, Roxie out for a potty break when a coyote jumped out of the nearby woods and attempted to attack the tiny pet.
Snipe immediately jumped into action to save his dog from the aggressive coyote. He later shared the footage of the incident from his doorbell camera on Facebook, where you can see Snipe wearing a bright red bathrobe, fighting the animal off, eventually grabbing it by its tail, and throwing it in a nearby dumpster before calling for help.

That tiny dog didn't stand a chance! Roxie is one lucky dog to have Snipe for her human.
Snipe said of fighting the wild animal off,
I knew I could've been alright, even if I would've gotten bit and gotten rabies or something, but if she had gotten bit, it was over.
Once you get a pet they're automatically a part of the family and this is my girl, this is our girl.
Snipe said he did get bit on the leg and received 9 rabies shots. He later found out that a neighbor had been attacked by a coyote earlier the same day, but thanks to Snipe's quick action, neither of them will be bothered by the coyote again.
As for Roxie, Snipe said she doesn't go outside anymore without her special coyote-proof vest:
