Howerton is the pastor of Lakepointe Church, a Dallas megachurch with over 20,000 in weekly attendance at 6 locations. His bold stance against things like gender ideology and Pride Month have led to media attacks painting him as "misogynistic" and "far-right."

This epic thread he posted last year about "conspiracy theories" coming true might indicate why the media are trying to destroy him:

It's extremely rare to see a pastor with such a large audience speak politically incorrect truths so clearly for the sake of the Gospel.
