One Canadian woman recently proved her frontier mettle by literally standing up to a bear and scaring it off using nothing more than a stick.

Yeah, Diane Fillion is definitely lucky to be alive!

She didn't even realize it was the bear that had knocked her over; only when reviewing video of the incident did it become clear how close she had come to serious danger.

Try not to mess with bears, but if you have to, make sure to carry a big stick!
