The Biden Administration continues to flailingly battle its terrible image.
Record inflation, along with record-high gas prices, are proving to be a huge issue for Biden as his approval ratings stand somewhere around the Bill Cosby level.
The latest attempt to lessen the price at the pump for Americans is maybe his worst idea yet.
Biden could open oil reserves. He could encourage and incentivize drilling and fracking. He could complete oil pipelines.
But no, the Biden Administration is planning to burn CORN instead.
Yeah.
What an absolute joke.
Any mechanic will tell you how terrible ethanol is for your car.
But the Biden Administration is planning to water down your gasoline with 15% ethanol during the summer months, in violation of current policy.
President Biden will announce Tuesday that his administration will temporarily allow E15 gasoline — gasoline that uses a 15% ethanol blend that is typically banned from sale from June to September — to be sold this summer, a measure intended to help ease gas prices on a day when inflation hit its highest monthly figure in 40 years.
The president is scheduled to visit an ethanol plant in the small town of Menlo on Tuesday, about 50 miles west of Des Moines, Iowa.
This is absolutely pathetic.
When there are REAL solutions easily available to gain energy independence, Biden wants to burn food instead.
And, guess what, this plan is actually going to make the environmental lefties mad too:
In contrast to E10, which makes up the bulk of gasoline sold in the United States, the sale of E15 is typically banned during the summer under the Clean Air Act because of air pollution concerns.
He's violating the lefty Clean Air Act in order to pass this useless policy that will serve only to speed up the deterioration of your car engine.
Of course, they want everyone to drive electric vehicles anyways, so I'm sure this is just part of speeding up that process.
"The President is committed to doing everything he can to address the pain Americans are feeling at the pump as a result of Putin's Price Hike," the White House said in a statement. "The Administration's strategy to spur the development of homegrown biofuels is critical to expanding Americans' options for affordable fuel in the short-term and to building real energy independence in the long-term by reducing our reliance on fossil fuels."
They're still blaming Putin for Biden being an awful president.
How cute.
"Homegrown biofuels" is just another way of saying they want to use LESS efficient fuels in order to move away from plentiful and affordable fossil fuels.
