Today from the White House:
Remember, this is the same White House that literally says the economy is doing great.
As the world is re-opening from a near economic standstill, countries across the globe are grappling with the challenges that arise as consumer demand for goods outpaces supply.
Yup, Biden is blaming this on Covid lockdowns.
You know, the lockdowns he and his party supported.
Anyway...
As a result of the strong recovery in the United States, Americans have nearly $100 more per month in disposable income in their pockets this year, even as COVID has continued to complicate the economic recovery around the world.
Would that be $100 extra from the advanced tax return Biden gave last year?
Even if this were true, if you polled the average American, how many of them are spending only $100 extra due to inflation each month? Rent alone is up hundreds every month. One tank of gas costs $100. Groceries are double what we were paying when Biden came into office.
But instead of reopening the American oil industry Biden has directly targeted and shut down, the president is going to drain more of our emergency supplies, even as fuel (especially diesel) is running out or being rationed around the world.
Today, the President is announcing that the Department of Energy will make available releases of 50 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to lower prices for Americans and address the mismatch between demand exiting the pandemic and supply.
Remember when he first tried this back in November?
Democrats praised him for lowering gas prices by a whopping 2 cents.
And then the prices went up, just like I said.
Biden tried releasing more oil earlier this spring, and that was supposed to do the trick too.
People like me said the problem was just gonna keep getting worse, because Joe's approach to solving this crisis is like a man who helped start a house fire, then insists on using a squirt gun to put it out instead of the fire hydrant right outside.
Tell me, who has been proved right these past months: This random writer on the internet, or the most powerful man in the free world?
Here's to $6 gas and no fuel for an actual emergency!
