Biden's approval ratings slip to lowest in a year

I'm not a paid political consultant or polling expert, but something tells me these aren't the sorts of numbers you like to see heading into an election.

President Biden's approval ratings have just dropped to their lowest in nearly a year, according to Real Clear Politics.

His approval ratings average now sits at just over 40% (which is still shockingly high, tbh) and is the lowest it's been in a year.

The last time Biden's approval rating was this low in an RCP poll was Aug. 17, 2022. Since August 2022, Biden's approval rating has not sunk below 41%, which occurred in December 2022, according to RCP.

Before August 2022, the president's approval rating hit a year-low of 37.1% on July 22, 2022, RCP data shows.

He's now hovering about 3 points north of his worst number, but that is still MUCH lower than any president would like to see a year out from reelection.

Pair these approval ratings with polls showing that Americans think Biden is too old for the office, that the country is on the wrong track, and that Biden could lose BIGLY to Donald Trump, and this spells disaster for the Biden White House.
