It's almost like the Swamp Creatures in the Biden Admin are seeing how much absolute damage they can do to the country before they are forced out onto the sidewalks of D.C.
Yes, the Biden EPA just gave California permission to BAN gas car purchases in the state starting in 2035, with the environmentalist wacko move beginning with the 2026 model cars.
They are doing a nice and long 10-year phase in that would completely change everything about the American transportation and energy system.
For 2026 models, 35% of sales in California must be zero emissions under the state rules; through September, they are only 25.4% of sales this year.
The phased-in mandate allows sales of new plug-in hybrids as well as battery-only cars, and the state says some gas-powered cars are expected to remain on California roads for more than 25 years.
And it's not just California.
11 other states, following Commiefornia's lead, are also planning to ban the purchase of gas-powered vehicles.
And this EPA ruling is letting it go forward.
Seventeen states have historically followed California's regulations, but so far only Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington have announced they'll enforce the Advanced Clean Cars II rule and prohibit the sale of new gasoline-powered vehicles.
But don't worry. The Biden team has guaranteed we'll be prepared for the switch! Gay Mayor Pete is on it!
Oh, wait...
Fortunately, starting January 20, the adults will be back in charge. And President-Elect Trump has already promised during the campaign that he wouldn't stand for this electric vehicle mandate.
The Trump administration is likely to challenge the approved waivers through the courts and deny other California vehicle standards yet to be greenlit.
At a campaign event in Michigan earlier this year, Trump dismissed the possibility of any state banning new gas-powered cars, declaring, "I guarantee it โ no way."
California's governor, known by some as Gavin Newscum, is already taking his victory laps.
'Clean cars are here to stay,' Newsom said in a statement. 'Automakers and manufacturers have made it clear they intend to stick with California and consumers as we move toward clean cars that save people money. Naysayers like President-elect Trump would prefer to side with the oil industry over consumers and American automakers, but California will continue fostering new innovations in the market.'
Nobody is telling you to stop making electric cars, Gavin.
Heck, freaking Elon Musk is on the Trump transition team!
President Trump just doesn't want you mandating what people are and are not allowed to buy in terms of vehicles. And he knows that we aren't running out of oil and that global warming is catastrophic alarmism.
Sorry but not sorry, dude.
