British National Health System says men’s “chest” milk is as good as women’s for babies

The University of Sussex Hospitals National Health System Trust (USHT) released guidance suggesting that trans-women's (a.k.a. men's) chest milk is,

comparable to that produced following the birth of a baby.

Of course, by that they mean the milk produced by the birth of a baby from an actual woman, not a man dressed like a woman.

Instead, the British healthcare system thinks pumping a man full of artificial hormones so that he grows breasts and produces milk is as good of an option to give to a baby than its mother's milk.

Artificial hormones like domperidone,

which is often prescribed to women struggling to breastfeed, and helps to stimulate the production of prolactin - a separate hormone that tells the body to produce milk.

The same artificial hormone that the FDA warned,

was associated with serious cardiac adverse events, including cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat), cardiac arrest, and sudden death.

The FDA also warned that the hormone leaked into mothers' milk when it was used off label for lactation and could harm babies.

If it's dangerous for women to use it to increase natural lactation, of course it will be dangerous for men to use to try to force lactation that isn't supposed to happen.

After the guidance was reported by Lottie Moore, of the Policy Exchange, the National Health System deleted the guidance and replaced it with a link to a La Leche League International article, which says,

LLL supports everyone who wants to breastfeed or chestfeed in reaching their goals.

Moore called the guidance,

unbalanced and naïve in its assertion that the secretions produced by a male on hormones can nourish an infant in the way a mother's breast milk can.

To be fair, we can't stand around pointing fingers at the folks across the pond for their hatred of babies in favor of encouraging mentally ill people‘s fantasies.

The U.S.'s CDC gave the exact same baby-threatening advice in July 2023.

Clown world indeed.
