Calgary police blur face of suspected arsonist when asking for help identifying him 🥴

Calgary police are hoping the public can help them identify an arsonist responsible for setting fires in the Riverbend community.

The fire gutted a garage and caused damage to two homes. No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe the same suspect could also be responsible for two small fires in recycling bins in the area on Aug. 21 and 22.

To get the public's help, they posted his picture online.

Yeah ...

The reason for this counterproductive move is that police believe the suspect might be a minor.

The identity of young offenders is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Officers are hoping someone may recognize the teen's clothing.

The suspect was wearing a grey and white camouflage hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, an army-green satchel and light-brown or green Crocs.

I sure hope he doesn't change his clothes. 🤞
