Brittny Arceo‘s wedding wasn't scheduled to be held until a month from now, but her father‘s stage four pancreatic cancer did not look like it was going to let him live to see his daughter get married.
However, Abraham Arceo‘s dying wish was to walk his daughter down the aisle, so the staff at Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center in Orange County, California, did something extraordinary.
They helped move the wedding to the hospital chapel.
Nurses wheeled Abraham down the aisle with his daughter, carrying his IV tower behind him. The hospital staff stood with him through the whole ceremony and applauded at the end.
The mother of the bride, Cecilia Arceo, said,
It's very emotional. It's just been very hard lately, but we are glad they were able to do this for us. It meant a lot to Brittny, to me, we just want to make sure he was able to see her get married.
In tears, the bride said,
He's my hero. He gave up his whole life for all of us.
What an inspiring picture of fatherhood!
The man is using his final breaths to be with his daughter and bless her marriage.
Bravo, to those nurses and hospital administrators who made this happen.
The world needs more people like you!
