California's "Safer Streets for All" Act leads to hundreds of gang-connected prostitutes walking LA neighborhood, 51 rapes, trafficking, sex acts in broad daylight

Whenever a lefty names a bill or department, you can be sure it'll do the opposite of what they say.

  • Inflation Reduction Act? More inflation.
  • Disinformation Governance Board? Tons of disinformation (plus censorship!).
  • Safer Streets For All Act? More dangerous streets for everyone.

That's the news out of California in a NY Post story that I can't link to because the cover photo is rated R. This is a rare case where we won't provide a link, but I'll provide quotes nonetheless.

Emboldened by new California laws that make it nearly impossible for cops to bust prostitutes, sex workers in Los Angeles' red light district stalk for business wearing no more than thongs, G-strings and high heels in broad daylight.

A 40-block area of Figueroa Boulevard in South LA sees hundreds of prostitutes, some barely out of their teens, plying their trade since Gov. Gavin Newsom passed the controversial Safer Streets for All Act, which decriminalized loitering with the intent to work as a prostitute in January.

"Before, this type of activity only happened at night where most citizens wouldn't see it, but now it's 24/7," one source told The Post.

"Now you can drive by at 2 p.m. and see it. Families drive by and see 10 girls on the corner, condoms on the ground.

That's right. Hundreds of nearly-naked women now walk around this neighborhood, offering their "services" to men in broad daylight. I'm not going to go into detail.

"God only knows the impact it has on those kids who have to see this."

Who cares about kids anymore, right?

LAPD Commander Jon Pinto estimates 95% of all the prostitutes work for gang-connected pimps, meaning these "services" pay for more guns, drugs, and wetwork across the city.

A total of 51 rapes have been reported in the area this year, with 6 reported in September. The police can only intervene if it "seems" like a prostitute is under the age of 18, at which case they send them to child services before most end up right back on the streets.

...the LAPD sources say they usually see them back on the streets a few days later.

Many of these girls are trafficked (I was told all summer by the media that this never happens and I'm QAnon if I notice anything).

Nonprofits combating sex trafficking like Journey Out are also finding it more difficult to connect with the growing number of sex workers on the streets.

The charity's executive director, Nayeli May, said often young women don't even realize they are being trafficked because of the psychological and physical hold pimps have on them. Many are recruited as young as possible from other states and brought to Los Angeles, so there's less chance of their families intervening.

Again, I was told time and time again that this isn't happening.

But like I said, who cares about kids anymore, right??

After all, things like this are happening every day in cities across America and it's barely a blip on the news cycle:

Back to LA:

Pinto said officers on Thursday rescued a 14-year-old who was being trafficked by a pimp at the Figueroa Street corridor.

Stop noticing that these things are happening, you QAnon conpiracist!

The problem has become so bad that the city, the LAPD, the LA City Attorney's Office, local nonprofits, the Department of Children and Family Services and the US Attorney's Office have banded together and started a new program in September called the "Figueroa Initiative" to help victims of human trafficking.

Man, these woke cities sure do need a lot of extra funding to help them deal with the consequences of their own decisions!

The problem isn't limited to Los Angeles.

Fox News noted that residents and business owners in San Diego are afraid to speak out because the gangs might hurt them if they do (such safe streets!).

The business owner spoke to Fox News Digital on the condition of anonymity out of concern that pimps or prostitutes in the area might retaliate against the business owner's vehicles, property or employees. The business owner has been operating at the same location for the last 25 years.

"They'll break into cars, they'll pop tires. We've had a neighbor …. who had his vehicle broken into multiple times and stolen the tools out of it," the business owner said.

The business owner directly named the Safer Streets for All Act.

"Due to the Safer Streets Act, local business owners now need to hide their identity while exposing the problems that the bill has created, which was never a problem before," the business owner added.

Progressivism at work!

National City, just south of San Diego, is facing the same problems. Mayor Ron Morrison has gotten upset at the explosion in prostitution.

"Police can't literally go and talk to them because they don't have a right to talk to them because they are not doing anything wrong … Even if they are going out talking to someone in their car and sitting there when all they are wearing is less than a G-string."

Here's Morrison pointing out a prostitute walking on the sidewalk across from a school.

Other cities like San Francisco have literally barricaded streets this year to stop traffic (keeping would be "customers" at bay and forcing the women to relocate).

Californians... is this the progress you voted for?
