A picture is worth a thousand words:
ENHANCE:
It's beautiful.
The people who want to ban guns have no idea how guns work.
Just a bunch of Harvard graduates in suits wearing masks while pointing at a huge printout of a scary boomstick.
Look at this breakdown of the actual exchange between the Dems and Rep. Massie:
Oh my goodness my brain already hurts.
A stabilizing brace was the way the market got around the unconstitutional federal regulation that said you couldn't have a stock on a short-barreled blaster without registering with a Federal Tax Stamp (because the government didn't want you to shoot accurately).
The "brace" is meant to wrap a strap around your arm to better fire the weapon without shouldering it, but everyone obviously shoulders it so the ATF finally just gave up.
The reason a "brace" even exists is because the feds wanted to make it harder for lawful citizens to have modern short-barreled weapons that are maneuverable, concealable, and carry an effective number of rounds.
(I say "lawful" citizen because the unlawful ones are running around with illegal mini-Uzis strapped to them because they don't care about the ATF for some reason)
But if the braces on all my blasters allow them to go full-auto, someone PLEASE TELL ME HOW.
(Asking for a friend)
Let's continue:
It's like trying to teach anything to Michael Scott.
No, gun-control politicians, a brace is not a bump stock. The bump stock was an ingenious way of getting around that non-existent part of the Constitution that says Americans can't own machine guns by figuring out a new way to use recoil to continuously fire.
The brace is, well, a brace.
Kudos to Massie for the kill shot tho!
