In the aftermath of the Dobbs decision by the Supreme Court, you probably noticed a lot of lies swirling around about all of the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad things that would happen to women as a result.
One of the biggest lies that was propagated by the pro-choice side, and parroted by a lot of well-meaning ex-vangelicals, was the lie that women with ectopic pregnancies would be left to die as a result of the ruling.
Well, not only did the ruling not outlaw abortion, but there's also no pro-life legislation either proposed or on the books that would prevent a woman from receiving treatment for an ectopic pregnancy.
As a response to the flawed argument, many pro-lifers (myself included) shared a quote from Planned Parenthood's website which explicitly said,
Treating an ectopic pregnancy isn't the same thing as getting an abortion.
I guess Planned Parenthood didn't like all the hits they were getting on this particular article on their website, because they updated it to remove the "problematic" sentence (or as I like to call it, the truth).
Live Action documented the change to Planned Parenthood's website,
The clear distinction that abortion is not necessary to treat dangerous ectopic pregnancies was present on the Planned Parenthood website in 2020, 2021, and most of this year โ even as late as July 14, 2022.
So, a short sentence that sat innocuously on the Planned Parenthood website for at least 2 years just vanished after pro-lifers started using it to back up their case.
It's a little sus.
But maybe it's just a coincidence that they scrubbed a perfectly truthful sentence from an old article on their website the minute it didn't support their radical abortion talking points.
