Is CBS News trying to convince Americans that loose rapists and murderers aren't a big deal? Let's walk through the spin in their recent hit on Trump.

This is a masterclass in propaganda.

First, read the headline (only a fraction of readers actually get beyond the headline):

Now look at these three paragraphs, which I will show you in a direct screenshot so they can't go and stealth edit the article on us:

CBS News is a large outfit with many millions of dollars at their disposal, and here's what they came up with to discredit Trump on this story:

  1. Not every one of the 13,000 convicted murderers and 15,000 convicted rapists entered under Kamala's tenure as VP. These murderers/rapists have actually been here for years and years and years (this makes it better?).

  2. Not ALL of the murderers/rapists are hanging out in our neighborhoods right now because SOME are in jail.

  3. SOME of these murderers/rapists have to stay here because it's impossible to send them home.

How wild is that?

CBS News actually expanded on these three points in the article. No joke!

1)

2)

3)

We can't deport those murderers and rapists back to Venezuela - only Venezuela is allowed to ship people into other countries!

Of course, CBS News was forced to report the actual data (like we did last week). This is what Trump was referencing:

While the agency runs detention facilities to hold immigrants awaiting deportation, ICE also oversees a 'non-detained docket' to monitor the cases of immigrants who are facing deportation proceedings before an immigration judge, without being detained by the agency.

The number of non-detained docket cases has ballooned under the Biden administration, fueled by the release of millions of migrants from the U.S.-Mexico border in recent years.

Oh, so most of these murderers and rapists didn't come under Biden-Harris's watch but also the number of caught-and-released criminals (Reminder: everyone who trespasses a border illegally is a criminal) has also more than doubled.

ICE is currently tracking roughly 7.7 million non-detained cases, up from 3.3 million in fiscal year 2020, according to agency data provided by a U.S. official. The agency has 41,000 detention beds funded by Congress โ€” not nearly enough to detain everyone facing removal proceedings.

Okay, so we have millions and millions of un-detained criminal aliens, some of whom are convicted murderers and rapists, wandering around because Biden-Harris can't figure out how to actually keep people out of the country.

And these murderers/rapists are murdering and raping people (as they do):

(Take a deep breathe for this list of stories I'm gonna throw at ya)

Despite this, CBS News says that Trump is "mischaracterizing" the data about migrants sexually molesting kids and women and/or killing people.

You know, because he didn't write a 1,000-word CBS News article for context and he sounded kinda mean.

The letter to Gonzales shows that out of millions of cases, ICE's non-detained docket includes 425,000 immigrants with criminal convictions and 222,000 with pending criminal charges. The list includes 13,099 immigrants convicted of homicide and 15,811 convicted of sexual assault.

Out of "millions of cases," there's only 29,000 or so murderers/rapists and 425,000 convicted criminals total.

Stop making this a big deal, guys!
