The absolute best.
So far amazing and not at all what I was expecting.
If you're like Tim Allen and you have never truly read the Bible, it's not what you expect it to be at all.
Every time you read it, there is more to unpack than any person can do in their lifetime.
Allen is receiving a lot of support for the journey 👇
Tim Allen has unpacked his personal beliefs a few times in public. In a 1996 interview, he said that eastern religions like Buddhism "explained my Christianity to me" because it showed him "Good and evil are the same thing - you can't have one without the other."
In 2012, he talked about how he struggled after his father died when Allen was only 11 years old.
For years, I just did not like this idea of God, church. [I was] still a churchgoer, but constantly a cynic.
He ended up hooked on drugs and alcohol and served two years in federal prison in 1978 for possession of cocaine.
At the time of that 2012 interview, Allen described God as "The Builder" and described him in generic terms.
I don't push it. I just want a relationship with whoever built me. This is too much, too weird that it happened by accident. It didn't happen by accident.
I hope that Allen enjoys the Apostle Paul's visit to Athens in the Book of Acts:
From one man [God] has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live. He did this so that they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.'
...
Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has set a day when he is going to judge the world in righteousness by the man he has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.
You're close to the Kingdom, Tim. Stay the course.
