This guy has an EZ Pass. The EZ Pass system is supposed to take a picture of your license plate or scan an RFID device on the dashboard/windshield to automatically charge your account.
The bureaucracy's tax-collection technology failed, triggering some Karen to waste time, paper, and postage sending an itemized bill to this guy's house with cruel and unusual monetary punishments (pretty sure there's a constitutional amendment forbidding such nonsense).
I mean, a civil penalty AND a civil penalty surcharge?? On TOP of an administrative fee and random fees for police and ambulance drivers??
But hey, it could have been worse?
Still, some commenters thought the guy should just keep his head down and pay the transit tyrants what they demand.
