Chicago Public Schools will soon be opening its girls' restrooms to anyone who "feels comfortable" using them

Pro tip: If you are in Chicago and you have daughters in the public school system, consider jumping out of your chair right now and running down to the CPS office and pulling them out immediately:

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is requiring all schools in the district to adopt new signage in an effort to make restrooms gender-neutral.

The initiative, which CPS is referring to as a "big step forward for gender equity," requires the schools to display language outside of restrooms informing students, whether they are male or female, that they may use the restroom that aligns with their gender identity.

Not long ago the sight of a male in a females-only restroom would have been at best a bizarre and laughable sight.

Now it's increasingly a matter of public policy even though it's plainly and self-evidently a significant risk to women and girls.

Way to take the lead on this one, Chicago Public Schools!
