So much for signs of the apocalypse!
Who would have thought that "Baltimore" and "Heaven on earth" would ever be uttered in the same sentence?
No one, except whoever at Chick-fil-A decided that the Maryland city would be one of two test markets, along with San Antonio, Texas, to pilot the chicken and waffle sandwiches.
From USA Today:
Chick-fil-A confirmed it is set to test two new chicken-and-waffle sandwiches in two markets.
Select Baltimore restaurants will test a 'Chicken & Waffles Breakfast Sandwich' and a 'Chicken & Waffles Sandwich,' while some San Antonio restaurants will test the 'Chicken & Waffles Breakfast Sandwich,' the company said in a Nov. 11 email to USA TODAY.
Did somebody say San Antonio?
They're going to be in the stores starting December 1 until January 24, or as long as supplies last.
And if Charles Barkley and I know San Antonio, supplies won't last too long.
A Nov. 5 Facebook post by a restaurant in Westminster, Maryland described the 'Chicken & Waffles Sandwich' as: 'crispy chicken stacked between warm maple waffles, all with a touch of smoked bacon.'
The image shared with the post states it will be available with both original and spicy chicken. The breakfast version appears to be slightly smaller in the image and will be available until 10:30 a.m.
Can someone in Maryland send me these sandwiches. I've got to try them.
For research, of course.
