What a sad day for Chris Wallace.

After storming out of Fox and trying to make it big on CNN+, which flopped before it could even take off, Chris Wallace found his way back to the anchor desk at CNN.

And he got absolutely CRUSHED by Fox News in the ratings.

From The Daily Wire:

According to a report from RadarOnline, Wallace's much-touted interview show — titled "Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?" — racked up only 43,800 viewers in the key 25-54 age demographic. Wallace scored just 401,000 total viewers during his show, which aired in the 7 p.m. ET hour.

In comparison, the former South Carolina Congressman hosted "Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy" — and pulled in more than triple Wallace's total viewers with over 1.3 million. He also nearly doubled Wallace's number in the key demographic, racking up 78,000 viewers aged 25-54.

401,000 viewers.

And I promise you that's mostly in hotels and restaurants.

He got tripled by Trey Gowdy on a Sunday evening while NFL football was on.

Here's a sound effect for ol' Chris:

Who could have seen Chris Wallace's spectacular failure coming?

Besides our own Peter Heck, of course.
