You use several dozen products made with fossil fuels within the first five minutes of waking up every morning. Nearly 100% of everything in your nice little modern home is made with fossil fuels. Ending them would mean the deaths of billions and a rapid plunge into a dark age where the forests would be burned and animals hunted to extinction to keep the few survivors warm and fed.

But yes, let's end them to save the environment!
