You know, I'm not exactly sure what the America Party supporters, 80% on Elon's poll, thought would happen in the real world.
But I sort of doubt that this was part of the calculus.
I have rarely seen someone who has entered the political scene and it has been so unkind to them ... You know the first time we saw Elon Musk ever polled was all the way back in June of 2016. He was the most popular person polled by Bloomberg back in June 2016 ... Down we go! As we go to this side of the screen, July of 2025 -37 pts on the net favorable scale .... that is a 66 point drop. He is now the least popular person that we polled.
The lesson here is that trying to run in the middle doesn't pull in the moderates from each side. It only makes the politically engaged on both sides hate you.
When you mess with Donald Trump you go in the meat grinder.
He dropped 55 points with REPUBLICANS in two months after announcing his third party.
Yeah, I don't think he's bringing over a lot of MAGA, do you?
The Perot numbers at the end really show how unpopular Musk has made himself.
Just 25% favor it (Musk's third party0, 74% -three quarters of Americans - oppose. And remember Ross Perot started a third party back in 1993. 50% favored it, far more than Elon Musk and, of course, that third party not successful. This one ... dead on arrival.
Elon might need to readjust his strategy moving forward.
