They're coming for your guns.
That's exactly what Joe Biden promised on Wednesday at a Democratic caucus.
The President of the United States, who we all saw take an oath to defend the Constitution, is now promising to trample all over the Constitution by banning so-called "assault weapons."
"I know it may make some of you uncomfortable, but that little state above me, Delaware is one of them, has the highest rate, one of the highest rates of gun ownership. But guess what? We're going to ban assault weapons again come hell or high water and high capacity magazines. When we did it last time to reduce mass deaths," Biden said.
Put aside the fact that there is no definition of "assault weapon," what gives Joe Biden the right to pick and choose the weapons he wants to give you permission to own?
Assault weapon is a Leftist word for a "scary looking modern gun technology in common use that gives citizens the ability to defend themselves from tyrants."
And when Biden says he wants to ban them, he really means it.
Besides advocating an outright ban, Joe Biden is planning to use "red flag laws" currently instate to confiscate guns from people who MIGHT commit a crime in the future.
One day after the shooting at Michigan State University, and five years after a gunman killed 14 students as well as three educators at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, the Biden administration announced that the Justice Department would give $231 million to states to be used for crisis intervention.
Remember, that shooting was committed in a gun-free zone by a man who was previously arrested for illegally carrying a weapon but was let off the hook by a leftist prosecutor, likely because of the color of his skin.
The money can also be used for efforts to strengthen red flag programs and efforts to prevent gun violence....
Biden said the funding can be used to educate members of the public regarding extreme risk protection orders.
"Red flag laws, however, only save lives if community members effectively use this tool. Today's announcement gives states funding to educate the public about extreme risk protection orders and train law enforcement and other officials regarding this intervention," Biden said.
So, if you think your big scary neighbor shouldn't have his gun because you're a liberal who is afraid of guns, just get all your friends to call up and turn him into the authorities, and Biden and Merrick Garland will happily remove his second amendment rights.
Remember, pretending guns don't exist by making sure only the vast federal government has them is sure to make everyone super safe in the end!
