I am sorry to report that history has been made... The first ever communist leader was just elected mayor of a major city in Austria.

Oh, sure, a communist leader in Austria, what could go wrong? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Graz's city council elected Elke Kahr of the Austrian Communist Party as their new mayor. Graz is Austria's second-largest city after the capital, Vienna.

Kahr is not just a fringe individual, but has been the member of the Communist Party for almost 30 years.

Yes, the actual Communist Party, not the wannabe commies like Bernie Sanders.

I thought communism was just for privileged, woke college kids after they join Antifa โ€“ you know, something you grow out of, or get arrested for... or just get plain knocked out for.

But this lady has sharpened her hammer and sickle over the years and is ready to rule with an iron fist!

Comrade Kahr says her focus will be housing and social policies.

Code for gulags and eugenics? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

The scary thing is, the Communists have already formed a coalition with the "Greens" and the Social Democratic Party. They very quickly and smoothly aligned themselves with communists and they're not even batting an eye.

But at least not everyone in Austria has completely lost it. Alexis Pascuttini, a member of the right-wing Freedom Party of Austria (FPร–), described the choice as "unpleasant" and said the Graz Communists are full of empty catchphrases and "left-wing nonsense."

You can say that again...

Queen comrade Kahr herself has been pressured to justify her (terrible) political party, being repeatedly asked about her position on "the crimes of communist parties around the world since 1917," according to Austrian media.
