Remember "Epic City"? The all-Muslim community product in the Texas suburbs that was looking to build a community just for Muslims?

After construction was halted on the community this summer after Governor Greg Abbott spoke of "multiple investigations" into the project, it now appears as if the group has rebranded and is moving full-steam ahead.

Here's KERA on the latest developments:

Judge Chris Hill posted on social media EPIC City will now be called 'The Meadow.' Hill also attached a diagram of the planned development.

While no plans have been filed with the county yet, the project's corporate entity, Community Capital Partners, confirmed the name change to the Dallas Morning News Monday. Hill said on Facebook the group has filed or may soon file an application with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and will file a plan application with Collin County.

It looks like, despite Texas AG Ken Paxton continuing the investigation, that Epic City is going ahead with their plans of a religious and ethnic enclave on 400 acres of Texas land.

Sounds like they may be following the David Koresh of Waco plan!
