Good friends can sometimes make the most bitter enemies, as evidenced by the ongoing spat between once-diehard allies President Donald Trump and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, with Trump publicly denouncing Greene and withdrawing his endorsement of her.
In his voluminous, wall-of-text style post to Truth Social, the president took Greene to task for "complaining."
The New York Post had additional details:
'I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of "Congresswoman" Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia,' Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The president laid out a laundry list of his 'Record Achievements for our Country,' but fumed that 'over the past few weeks' Greene has only grumbled about his administration.
'[A]ll I see "Wacky" Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!' Trump wrote.
Greene had increasingly drawn Trump's ire after defying him on multiple issues, including supporting the extension of Obamacare subsidies and vocally urging the release of the Epstein files.
Trump also took issue with Greene constantly hounding him with phone calls.
'She has told many people that she is upset that I don't return her phone calls anymore, but with 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can't take a ranting Lunatic's call every day,' he continued.
Ouch.
Greene fired back in a post on X Friday night, including text messages she sent the president in her quest for transparency on the Epstein files.
Trump expressed his hope that someone would challenge Greene for her seat.
With two fighters like Trump and MTG always primed for a public throwdown, it's safe to say this isn't the end.
