A Pennsylvania man is on the mend after he was, according to him, shot by his own dog.
Man's best friend, indeed.
From NBC Philadelphia:
According to the Shillington Police Department, officers were called to a residence on the 300 block of State Street around 11:13 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers got to the scene, police said, they found that a 53-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound to his back. He was on the floor but conscious.
Was it a yellow dog? Because that's the only kind of coward that would shoot a man in the back.

During an investigation, police said officers learned that the man had been cleaning a firearm and placed it on his bed. He then proceeded to sit down on the bed, at which time, one of his dogs jumped up onto the bed, causing the shotgun to fire a round into his lower back.
Police said the man and his son were the only ones home, along with two dogs. His son was not in the same room when the incident happened.
Fortunately the man is on the mend, because this could have easily been much, much more tragic.
