Optics is everything in politics. Remember that Howard Dean's famous 2004 scream didn't actually involve kittens being choked, but it quickly became a meme and ended the man's presidential aspirations nonetheless!
Are you telling me that the man who wants to be THE TOP LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL IN VIRGINIA doesn't understand the basic optics of "don't kick animals"?
Jones made national news in early October when his text messages about a former Republican opponent leaked. Jones fantasized about shooting his opponent twice in the head instead of dictators Pol Pot and Hitler, then went on to call his opponent's children "fascists."
Jones also disparaged law enforcement officers, saying it might take a few dead cops to stop police-involved shootings.
He decided to stop by the polls today to mill about, as one does.
Anyway, glad to see he's practicing for what he'll do with power if elected.
