DeSantis signs law officially revoking Disney’s privileges, forcing them to play by the rules of every other theme park

Apr 22nd

It's amazing that leftists are crying over a huge multinational company losing its special tax privileges in a state when it simply means Disney will have to play by the same rules as SeaWorld, Universal, and others!

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill Friday terminating the Walt Disney Company's special tax district that allows it to operate as a largely autonomous entity.

Enacted in 1967 to attract the entertainment giant to Florida, the Reedy Creek Improvement District conferred a range of privileges — including control over police and fire units as well as infrastructure management.

The abrupt nixing of the arrangement came after Disney vocally objected to legislation DeSantis initiated that banned instruction related to gender identity and sexual orientation to kids in kindergarten through the third grade.

Here's what DeSantis had to say:

You're a corporation based in Burbank, California, and you're going to marshal your economic might to attack the parents of my state? We view that as a provocation and we are gonna fight back against that.

This is how it's done! Just for Fun, DeSantis signed a bill banning CRT in schools.

Here's the videos DeSantis is referring to, by the way. Warning: They're pretty gross. The one who broke that story was actual journalist and research fellow Chris Rufo, who was standing to DeSantis' left.

Enjoy watching the empire you spent 100 years building crumble away, Disney!
