Director Christopher Nolan Takes No Prisoners, Smacks Warner Brothers then NUKES HBO Max

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, The World's Greatest Director Christopher Nolan totally smacked down both Warner Brothers and HBO Max after WB's decision to release all 2021 titles in theater simultaneous with release on the HBO Max streaming service.

"Some of our industry's biggest filmmakers and most important movie stars went to bed the night before thinking they were working for the greatest movie studio and woke up to find out they were working for the worst streaming service."

Ouch!

Nolan just absolutely smacks Warner Brothers and KOs HBO Max, calling it "the worst streaming service."

Christopher Nolan has been making movies for Warner Brothers since his 2002 movie Insomnia and has had a great relationship with the studio, making some of the greatest movies of the 21st century, including the Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, Dunkirk, The Prestige, and many other amazing films. Nolan is one of the most well-known movie directors and a huge voice in film. This year he has been a lone voice, fighting to save movie theaters, insisting that his newest movie Tenet have a theatrical release.

Nolan turning against the studio is big news. He not only criticized their decision, but he also attacks the way the deal was done. No actors or moviemakers were notified of this decision prior to the Warner Brothers press release. A really disappointing and infuriating move for many in Hollywood.

Many on the right are celebrating the Hollywood infighting and the death of movie theaters. But I have to admit, I have a soft spot for going to the theater. It's a fun experience and great family time. I think the death of the movie theater is definitely a tragedy, but it is hard to argue that Hollywood doesn't deserve this fate.
