Come see how Disney plans to ruin "Hercules" by making it a live-action, TikTok-inspired musical

Disney is on a never-ending quest to ruin every single childhood classic by making a live-action remake of all the cartoons you knew and loved growing up.

Their next atrocity against a beloved classic involves the exploitation of their own wonderful '90s animated film Hercules.

They've given the leadership of the new "Hercules" project to the same people who brought you all the formulaic and overdramatic Marvel movies and they plan to ruin this story in a particularly brutal manner.

Because of course.

Whereas many of Disney's recent live-action remakes have been faulted for sticking too closely to the source material, Russo says "Hercules" will be "a little bit more experimental in tone, a little bit more experimental in execution."

"I think they're excited to see what we can all bring to it in a way that isn't just a reinterpretation of the animated film," Russo adds.

Okay, this I can agree with. Most of the remakes really are just EXACT remakes except they've removed all the soul, magic, and morals from the originals.

Changing it up a little could be a very good thing honestly.

Maybe I should just give it a chance.

Russo says the live-action "Hercules" will also be a musical — and share the original's unconventional approach.

"There are questions about how you translate it as a musical," Russo says. "Audiences today have been trained by TikTok, right? What is their expectation of what that musical looks like and feels like? That can be a lot of fun and help us push the boundaries a little bit on how you execute a modern musical."

NOOOO!

I don't want some dude in his 50s making a children's musical based on his perception of what TikTok is!

What an absolute recipe for disaster!

I almost can't imagine anything worse.

Please, Disney, STOP your money-hungry exploitation of the past. It is killing us.
