Disney told its Star Wars fans to not be "racist" over legitimate concerns with a new character and got absolutely flamed in response

In the new Star Wars show "Kenobi," there's a new villain named Reva who works with the Inquisitors, Vader's personal Jedi hunters, to find escaped Jedi across the galaxy.

Some of the fans had issues with a new character being inserted alongside established ones and immediately given a lot of power. It's a problem that many franchises face these days.

Personally, I like the character so far, but I won't if Disney/LucasFilm is gonna rip its fans a new one by calling any negative reaction to this new character "racist"!

You're probably thinking that this is a series dealing with space wizards and that Disney doesn't need to immediately respond to any negative reactions regarding a singular character in a show.

But Disney can't do that. Disney is OBSESSED with race. Disney is a true believer in anti-racism [read: new racism].

See, normal people have this reaction:

Whereas woke people have this reaction:

Oh, whoops, my bad. Those are actual tweets from LucasFilm employees working on Star Wars content.

(It's almost like the fans have a reason to complain if they sense characters are only being written to showcase skin color or sexuality instead of compelling narrative)

Here's the thing: Disney is far more guilty of what it preaches than even the most rabid racist who still, for some reason, watches a show that values harmony and equality between millions of alien creatures.

People like Prison Mitch were super quick to point out that Disney, as a company, removed actor John Boyega from the Chinese poster for "The Force Awakens" because the communist government didn't like a black person featured so prominently:

AWKWARD!!!
