You asked and Taco Bell obliged by bringing the Mexican Pizza back to their stores this month.
Singer Doja Cat announced the return of the fan-favorite fast food menu item the Mexican Pizza at Coachella, as she had been one of the leading celebrity voices asking for the delicacy to return.
Another prominent voice and proponent of Mexican Pizza is country music superstar and America's most loved human being, Dolly Parton.
In our previous story, I noted how it was a shame that Doja Cat announced the return instead of Dolly, but Taco Bell is remedying this discrepancy with the announcement of a TikTok Mexican Pizza musical starring Dolly herself.
Yes, a Mexican Pizza musical.
What a time to be alive.
The country music icon shared the news about her leading role in "Mexican Pizza: The Musical" on social media on Monday morning.
"I'm making #MexicanPizzaTheMusical with @TacoBell," Parton wrote in an Instagram post, which contained a photo of the screenplay.
The satirical musical is "based on the true story of the Internet losing its mind" after the fast-food chain removed the product from its menu in late 2020, according to the screenplay shared on Parton's Instagram post.
Yep, it's real.
Dolly posted it on her Instagram. There's a screenplay and everything.
Taco Bell even posted a funny audition tape teasing the musical on their TikTok page.
Taco Bell's musical is written by Hannah Friedman with music by Grammy award-winning songwriting duo Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear.
Taco Bell's musical will be released at 8 p.m. ET on May 26, a week after Mexican pizza returns to its menu.
"#MexicanPizzaTheMusical is really happening. Let's do this!" Taco Bell tweeted with a photo of its Playbill ad.
There's returning an item to the menu like a normal company... and then there's this extravagant promotion by Taco Bell.
And I am all in on it.
