What we've got here is a man of the people.
Donald Trump showed up to the UFC fight last night in New Jersey, apparently just a few miles away from the courthouse where he was convicted, and he got the reception of a lifetime.
These people LOVE Trump.
You see comedian Theo Von rush over in the tunnel to shake Trump's hand, as he walks out with the UFC boss Dana White.
Then Trump gets to the crowd and they erupt!
Announcer Joe Rogan: Boy! The round of applause he's getting right now is pretty staggering. And you had to imagine that's what was gonna happen.
Then Trump finds Rogan and makes sure to shake his hand before the fight.
The former president also played around and squared up with fighter Sean Strickland backstage.
Absolute man of the people, The Trump.
No one in the world looks happier to be seen on the big screen with Trump than Theo Von sandwiched between Donald and his family, Eric and Lara Trump, right behind.
Well, maybe Kevin Holland is more excited.
You also have the classic FJB chant going on (I'll just link out to it here, language).
That's a crowd FULL of Trump supporters.
Sean Strickland won the main event and gave a shoutout to Trump calling it a "d*mn travesty" that he was convicted.
This was truly a wild scene.
These are Trump's people.
Shoutout to Dana White for not being afraid to be seen with Trump, even post-conviction, and giving the rockstar treatment that would be afforded to any other former head of state at any other American sporting event.
What a legendary appearance.
