Drunk driver says GPS caused her to crash into Maine police station

A 26-year-old woman in Portland, Maine drove into the police station while under the influence. But she wasn't too drunk to make an excuse. She told police officers that she was just following the directions she was given by her GPS.

Police determined it was more likely she was following the directions given by the tequila, as her blood alcohol level was above the legal limit.

The Portland Maine Police Department posted the story along with pictures of the crash to their Facebook page:

According to the Police Department, the woman drove through the Police Department garage and across a pedestrian plaza, before attempting to drive down a flight of stairs. That's some pretty serious commitment to the directions given by a GPS. I wonder if she'd recently been watching The Office or something...

Thankfully, no one was injured in the accident (other than the driver's dignity).

Maybe we should ask Papa Elon to jump on that last idea.
