It's happening (sorta, maybe?)!
Employees have until 6 p.m. to leave the building.
I found the dumbest take about this news:
Balloonhead.
Reminder:
Here's the deal: The Department of Education isn't closing up shop (yet).
Apparently there's "security reasons" for the decision and the offices will be closed on Wednesday, which means they'll be open again by the end of the week (maybe?).
The email, from James Hairfield of the Office of Security, Facilities and Logistics, said that the offices will be closed "for security reasons."
Staff with approved telework agreements were told they can work from home Wednesday. The email instructed employees to bring their laptops home with them when leaving the office Tuesday.
"Employees will not be permitted in any ED facility on Wednesday, March 12th, for any reason," the email said, referencing the Education Department.
That said, here's a few reasons the department should be closed forever as fast as humanly possible.
Combine the radical ideological push with the general trajectory of failure in public schools…
...and you start to understand why only 28% of Americans say they have a lot of confidence in the public school system.
Apple's Steve Jobs said in 1995 (THIRTY YEARS AGO!!!) that unions are the ones that ruined the system by creating a monopoly that holds kids hostage for money.
MY ADVICE? TEAR IT ALL DOWN!!
