El Salvador to accept deportees from the US of any nationality, offers to “outsource” prison system

El Salvador has so perfected the art of mass incarceration that they're now looking to expand their operations to include other countries' criminals as well.

This was the result of a meeting that took place today between El Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who announced that El Salvador was willing to accept deportees from the U.S. — regardless of their nation of origin.

From the Associated Press:

'We can send them and he will put them in his jails,' Rubio said of migrants of all nationalities detained in the United States. 'And, he's also offered to do the same for dangerous criminals currently in custody and serving their sentences in the United States even though they're U.S. citizens or legal residents.'

There's something to be said about a country that has its prison system so locked down that it decides to market it as a service for hire to the rest of the world. Bukele confirmed the offer on X:

He's not playing around, either. Bukele previously posted a video showing the prison system's inmates at work:

Clever X users were quick to make their own suggestions for occupants of El Salvadorian prisons:

Trump and Bukele. This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Can anyone else imagine Dr. Fauci manning a sewing machine?
