Election interference: Google hiding Conservative news on election 23 pages deep
· Oct 13, 2024 · NottheBee.com

Oh look, it's Big Tech being evil again!

According to research from NewsBusters, Google is burying conservative news on search results ahead of the 2024 election.

When using the search term "donald trump presidential race 2024," researchers had to scroll through 23 pages of results before they come to a U.S.-based right-leaning news source, a single Fox News video six results down on the 23rd page.

According to one study, only 3.9% of users even visit page two of Google results, which suggests almost zero people bother to go to page 23.

When using the search term "kamala harris presidential race 2024," a conservative news source didn't appear until the 11th page.

NewsBusters made the point that an increasing number of Americans get their news from Google search, which makes Google's bias even more damaging:

"This overt leftist bias is especially concerning considering that according to a November 2023 Pew Research survey, a rising number of American adults receive their news from search. The study found that 15 percent of U.S. adults prefer to get their news from search engines, which is up from 13 percent in 2022, and 11 percent in 2021."

Donald Trump has previously called out Google bias, even threatening legal action should he win a second term:

A Google spokesperson dismissed the study.

"Both campaign websites consistently appear at the top of Search for relevant and common search queries. This report looked at a single rare search term on a single day several weeks ago, and even for that search, both candidates' websites ranked in the top results on Google."

This looks like election interference to us.
