We've had an inkling that Jack Dorsey isn't happy with the direction of the company he started, and that he might welcome Elon Musk as a fellow visionary who wants to take back the digital public square from corporate sharks and activists.
Check out what Dorsey had to say on Monday about Elon's purchase of the company, starting with a Radiohead song 😂:
Jack is a true believer in technology's power to create a new humanity, like many of the old-school Silicon Valley visionaries. He's also a practitioner of Buddhist meditation, which emphasizes the process of becoming one with the collective consciousness of the universe.
We might think that's a wee bit crazy around these parts, but Jack recognizes that this platform he built to "extend the light of consciousness" has fallen short, and that its original mission has been hijacked. He might still be woke and dedicated to being "inclusive," but he knows something is rotten in Denmark. Something needed to change.
And while I think Twitter will ultimately continue to prove mankind's fallen nature and his need for redemption instead of bringing enlightenment, the great thing about a free and open public forum is that we can discuss and debate such ideas without the greedy Scrooges and the woke commie neckbeards controlling the conversation!
