Ex revenge takes a painful spin this Valentine’s Day at one New Jersey animal shelter

If you read to the end of the name a cockroach after your sweetheart article we posted a few days ago, you would have seen that the San Antonio Zoo had an option to name a cockroach, vegetable, or small mammal after your ex and feed it to a zoo animal.

I thought that was some funny-but-serious ex revenge.

Nothing quite says "I'm mad about our breakup" quite like feeding your ex to a zoo animal in effigy.

However, there's a new ex revenge experience that hit the market for this Valentine's Day.

Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center in Blackwood, New Jersey, is offering to let donors name a feral cat after their ex, and then spay or neuter it.

That's right, for just $50 Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center will name a feral cat after your ex. The cat will then be spayed or neutered before being released back to their colony as part of our trap-neuter-return(TNR) program. TNR is a vital component of feral cat population control as it breaks the breeding cycle and stops the birth of unwanted cats in our community. Your donation ensures we can offer spay/neuter surgery at a reduced cost for community cats and their caregivers in need.

Don't have $50 or can't bear to see a cat maimed and sterilized like they're a kid in a Californian public school, but still want to show your ex how much you really can't get over them and want to see them pay for the pain they've caused you?

The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals might have a better option for you!

For just a $5 donation, they'll write your ex's name on the inside of a litter box.

For a $5 donation, we will write the name of an ex-friend, lover, or even something you wish to bury in a litter box for our shelter cats to poop all over! How's that for stinky retripootion?

I mean the internet is full of healthy ways to help you get over your ex, but letting a cat poop all over their name seems way more fun!

And of course, you don't have to put your ex's name in the litter box; you can pick something else.

'Exes aren't the only subjects ending up in the litter boxes,' Van Patten noted. She said, 'Many people included other topics such as childhood cancer and Alzheimer's dementia and even the Cleveland Browns.'

I guess if you‘ve got money to burn and want to do something to help animals while dunking on someone, there are plenty of options for you this Valentine's Day.
