Stare directly at this:
Here's what that Democrat staffer told the FBI:
When working in this capacity, [redacted] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF. In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States Donald J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to Indict President TRUMP. [Redacted] stated this would be illegal and, upon hearing his concerns, unnamed members of the meeting reassured [redacted] that they would not be caught leaking classified information.
Whoops! To quote Adam Schiff:

[Redacted] was, again, approached about leaking classified information in a separate meeting by unnamed individuals. [Redacted] believed this activity to be unethical and treasonous. [Redacted] was concerned about the discussions and, as a result, reached out to contacts from his prior [redacted] employment for guidance on where to report this experience. These discussions led to contact the FBI regarding his concerns.
The whistleblower was reportedly an intelligence officer who said he was close to Schiff and ex-Republican House Intelligence Chair Devin Nunes. He told FBI agents that Schiff had acted "illegally."
This report from the FBI has been turned over to Congress for investigation. It corroborates earlier reports of a whistleblower accusing Schiff (see this 2024 report from Federalist editor-in-chief Mollie Hemmingway).
Despite the allegations, Schiff went on to become a major figure in Trump's impeachment and used his position to go after journalists.
Because you are wondering if Schiff can be tried for this, I feel it is my duty to remind you that he was given a "last-minute pardon" from Joe Biden at the beginning of 2025:
This could be why Trump's DOJ is criminally investigating Schiff for mortgage fraud instead of high crimes and misdemeanors.
Among the FBI's newly declassified documents was the revelation that Schiff had hoped to be appointed director of the CIA if Hillary Clinton had won the presidency in 2016:
Given this information, it's worth revisiting this quick clip from Republican Rep. Steve Scalise in 2019:
I would hope we get to the bottom of it.
