Five environmental consultants en route to the Ohio plant explosion site died in a plane crash after taking off from Clinton National Airport in Arkansas

The oddities keep piling up.

Here's the report on the factory explosion earlier this week:

Back to today's news:

Some days, the headlines write themselves. Even the people going to investigate these increasing accidents are having accidents. It truly is horrific.

But here we are, just little ol' Not The Bee, and we have a story that's at the convergence of a federal government ignoring daily industrial accidents, environmental scientists, and the Clintons.

And this the day after police announced that the former Clinton aide who was found shot and tied to a tree with no gun in sight killed himself...

Since our VP loves Venn Diagrams, I made one of my own for this sequence of unfortunate events.

Look, before you think I've gone full InfoWars, I know that there's no scientific causation between the Clintons and this tragedy... it's just insane that another of these accidents happened at the airport named after them given their, well, reputation.

And part of me has to find a way to laugh at this morbid stuff because it seems like these accidents and explosions are just getting crazier. There are tragedies piling on top of tragedies, as if we're at the beginning of some twisted preference cascade. It makes you wonder what is going to happen next.

More from ABC 7:

Meteorologist James Bryant said the crash happened just as a line of showers were moving quickly east with strong winds out of the west northwest. Bryant said when the plane crashed at 12:02 p.m., Adams Field recorded a wind gust of 56 mph.

The Federal Aviation Administration said they will investigate the crash and the National Transportation Safety Board would determine the cause. The NTSB said investigators are expected to arrive onsite Thursday and that a preliminary report would be published within 15 days of the accident.

It's nice to see that the federal government is willing to investigate some accidents!
