Last night, when it became clear, to everyone but Fox News, that the state of Florida was going to go into Trump's win column, The Daily Show decided to take the high road with their suggestion that we just destroy the entire state.

Ah yes, a state in the south votes differently than you and it's totally appropriate to joke about blowing up the entire state, Death Star style. It's a disappointing and disgusting implication. But when these jokes are made by the left, they're clearly jokes, and people shouldn't be so sensitive.

Of course, when Republicans make these types of statements, the REEEEs can be heard from orbit.

The hypocrisy of the left is on full display when they laugh and dismiss this tweet, but take innocuous statements by Republicans as dangerous calls for violence. You may remember in 2011 how Sarah Palin said that there were target districts for Republicans, a common phrase, and ended up being blamed by the media for the shooting of Gabbie Giffords.

This may be a joke, but it does show the true disdain of the Hollywood and media elites for half of the country. Ironically, President Trump carried Florida largely thanks to the Latino vote, especially Cuban Americans. The left thinks the country would be better off without the patriots in Florida.
